泰州机电高等职业技术学校是国家级重点职业学校、国家技能型紧缺人才培养培训基地、江苏联合职业技术学院分院。近年来，学校计算机网络技术、机电技术应用、电子技术应用三专业经江苏省教育厅评审成为省级示范示范专业，建成了德育、计算机、英语、财会、机电等5个泰州市级学科示范基地。近年来学校先后被评为江苏省职业技术教育先进单位、江苏省德育先进学校、泰州市文明单位、泰州市教学管理先进单位等十多项荣誉称号。
学校位于泰州市区东城河畔的教育区内，占地110亩，建筑面积4.3万平方米，实验实习设备1000万元以上，拥有五大实习中心，即计算机实习中心、机电一体化实习中心、电工电子实习中心：计模拟实习中心、化工实习中心；三大实习基地：餐饮实习基地、宾馆服务实习基地、焊接培训基地；建有电工、电子、电拖、机械原理、单片机、PLC、传感器、液压与气动、数模、多媒体等30多个实验室和专用教室，建成千兆校园网。目前，学校在校生3700多人，其中五年一贯制高职学生1500人，专任教师163人，其中本科学历的教师达90%以上，中、高级职称教师达70%左右，骨干专业由出国培训教师，硕士研究生或高级教师、高级工程师担当学科带头人。学校积极倡导“德育为首，学生为主体，能力为本位，就业为导向”，推行“全程跟踪教育管理模式”，树立“让每个学生得到发展”、“让每位家长满意”的办学理念，坚持内涵与外延共同发展，中职与高职共同发展，学历教育与职业培训共同发展，真正使每个学生都能成人、成长、成才、成功，真正使升学者有其学，就业者有其路，创业者有其能，为地方经济建设培养了一大批“品优、业精、体健、技高”的人才，毕业生受到用人单位的普遍欢迎。
Taizhou Higher Vocational school of Mechanical and Electrical Technology
As a branch of Jiangsu United Vocational and Technical college, Taizhou Mechanical and Electrical Technology (TZHV) is a national key vocational school and the national base of great-needed technology-oriented talents. Three majors in our school, namely Computer Networking, Applied Science of Mechanical & Electrical Technology and Applied Science of Electric Technology, have been affirmed as the demonstration ones by Jiangsu Provincial Education Department. Besides, five more majors, including Moral Education, Computer, English, Finance and Mechanical & Electrical Technology built up their demonstration basses in Taizhou City. Recently the school has been reworded as the Advanced Unit of Vocational Technology Education, the Advanced Moral Education School in Jiangsu Province; the Caviled Unit, and the Advanced Unit of Educational Management in Taizhou City respectively.
TZHV, located in the educational zone of Taizhou , covers an area of 110 mu, with 43,00m2 buildings, which is along the Dongcheng River. The education equipment costs more than ￥ 10 million. Five training centers, namely computer, mechanical and technological integration, electrician and electricity, the computer imitation and the Chemical industry; and three training bases, namely, dining service, hotel service, welding training have been founded in the school. Besides, more than 30 labs and special purpose classrooms including electrician, electricity, mechanical principle ,hydraulic transmission, digital control, multi-media system, PLC and so on have also been founded Meanwhile, the school has built its own local area network.
At present, more than 3,700 students are studying in the school, and 1500 of them are 5-year higher vocational students.
Among the total 163 full-time teachers, nearly 90% of them have a bachelor degree, including 70% ones with intermediate and senior titles. The leaders of core majors are postgraduate or the teachers with senior title, or senior engineer title, some of whom has the experience of training abroad. Our school actively advocates, “The priority of moral education, the students’ principal starts, ability and employment oriented,” and carries such a management model as all around. Education, runs with the following concept: Making sure that every student should deserve development and trying to please every parent. Our school insists on the co-development of intention and extention, secondary and senior vocations, degree education and vocational and technical training. Thus every student can really become a full grown, talented and successful person. Those who are going to develop themselves will have the ability to study.
